• Born to a wealthy couple in Manehatten before it became as industrious as it was now, though still a very wealthy city.

• They helped the town financially to keep it from going under and helped set up a business to send Seaweed and Peaches throughout Equestria.

• Pearl’s family connections with Manehatten helped the business aspect.

• When she became school age, she attended (much to her displeasure) a one room school house with ponies of all young ages.

• She only continued to go because of a Colt three years (human) older than her.

• She thought he was dreamy and tried to get his attention with anything.

• He never really pushed her away, so she took it as a sign that he liked her too. She would give him gifts, give him flattering compliments and tell ponies off for saying he was a blank flank.

• She was popular and well liked throughout the whole village and was the face of her parent’s business.

• Things changed when SeaSpray’s little sister SeaShell was born.

• SeaSpray was spending all his time with the little brat!

• He was now ignoring Pearl even more and wouldn’t really listen to her

• SeaShell was taking up all of the time with SeaSpray that was “meant” for Pearl. Pearl then tried to get rid of the little squirt.

• Unfortunately, her plans were so childish and dangerous. She used her unicorn powers to cause accidents that would harm little SeaShell if it weren’t for SeaSpray protecting his little sister.

• She finally realized that her antics weren’t working when she right out blamed SeaShell for getting swept out to sea (Something she didn’t cause this time). SeaSpray yelled (Pearl’s perspective. He never actually yelled, just had a stern tone) at Pearl for being a bully.

• Pearl realized that her plans weren’t working so she decided to “reform” and pretend to feel sorry. She hated doing it and acting that way, but after a few years, he seemed to forgive her and talk to her again. (And okay, the little squirt wasn’t that bad. Just tiny and weak)

Pearl’s experience

• Was unsure how to deal with the incomplete spell.

• She was upset and angry at SeaSpray for messing things up for a couple of days, but forgave him. She realized that the dumb Leviathan distracted her new Alicorn Prince.

• Now they were under the water, they all had to pitch in and create a home for themselves. And she hated it.

• She wasn’t used to manual labor and the fact that they all were having trouble learning how to use their new bodies was difficult.

• No one dared venture out without SeaSpray since he was the fastest and most powerful. Peal would like to do this, but she is not very fast and not very strong.

• The good thing in all this for Pearl, was that she could find all the pearls she wants at the best quality.

• She couldn’t exactly sell any of the necklaces or items she made. At the moment, it was a common goal to survive and establish basic needs for everypony. She did hide what she made in her new home hoping that her descendants would find them useful, or sell them when they finally leave the ocean.

• During the following years, Pearl sought to gain favor in SeaSpray’s eyes by trying to be supportive. She was always the first one to welcome him back after he would chase off a Leviathan or some other predator.

• For a few years, it would seem that SeaSpray and Pearl would get married and head the underwater colony that began to grow steadily. However, she didn’t get her way with SeaSpray, yet again.

Their conversation

• You have no intention of getting married to me?!

• The death of little Shelly has hurt me very much. Almost to self destruction.

• That’s why you need me! You can’t do this on your own. I’m here for you. I’ve always been here for you.

• Are you really? Or are you only looking for your selfish desires?

• What… what do you mean?

• I know about the pearl items you’ve made, but I don’t think it matters. One must continue to use and practice their skills.

• I… well, I was hoping to use them to get back on our hooves when we leave. They are very beautiful.

• Yes… but what about going into the supplies late at night and eating more than everyone’s daily rations? You sneak woven items into your home to make it more impressive for your eyes. You talk sweet to everyone, but you secretly hate everyone. You’ve told one pony, but she no longer fears you.

• Clam Letty? *snappish* She’s just a mistake! She is no pony!

• She has always been there for me.

• What?! No! I have always been there for you. I’m always here when you come back! I’m always here for you!

• You are only there waiting for my return because you want me to favor you. Letty never greets me when I return--

• You like someone who is worthless and doesn’t care what happens to you?

• I love Letty for not being there but because she is doing something to take care of everyone. She uses her special talent to make blankets and beds for everypony. Letty goes without food just to make sure we have enough. She stayed by Shelly’s side during her final hours since I couldn’t. Letty cares for everybody and shows it by both word and deed. Perhaps you should stop looking at yourself in the mirror and look at your surroundings.

Unfortunately, this did not settle well with Pearl. After the conversation with SeaSpray, she tried to kill her half sister. SeaSpray saved Letty. Not wanting to be a tyrannical type prince, he asked the Mayor, her uncle to pass judgement. Though the Mayor did not want to, he had to pass judgement and had her banished from the colony. He sent one of her former servants, Young Song (male), to go with her.

She had it rough for the rest of her life. She did eventually accept that she at least had someone and they had three fillies: Adagio, Aria, and Sonata. Unfortunately, things were tough, but Pearl still had a sour attitude, saying things ought to be hers and given to her! This, in effect, transferred to her daughters who grew just as selfish and just as greedy. Young Song finally had enough and began to yell at Pearl for not understanding their situation and that she brought this misery upon herself and now him and their children.
